Longest gal I took care of was a little over 6 years and stayed by her side till the end. It feels good to be needed. To be there for people when they need you is rewarding in many ways. I currently graduated cosmetology school last month but I would never want to give up being a caregiver. It's what I do and it's what I'm good at. I feel it gives me a sense of purpose.
