I work at Cox South as a PSA for my patients to ensure their safety and security. I work overnights basically as a patient "sitter". I know how important putting family in the right care is. Especially since my family members have gone through surgeries, and the way they were treated was so vital to me. I'm used to working in stressful situations where many patients either get violent. I can navigate for the safety of my patient and myself. I have had many patients that are children. I have learned many things from my experience of taking care of them and communicating with them and their parents/guardians. I'm not just there to watch, but I'm there in the low times for parents and children. Many of my patients are either suicidal or elderly, so I've adapted skills to promote a serene environment while I'm there. I spend a lot of time with my patients, discussing with them their interests, passions, and life events.
