About Gretchen

Working with children has been a passion and joy of mine for as long as I can remember. I worked my way through college as a swim instructor for individuals from 6 months to adults. I spent 2 years being a nanny in Westchester County. I then came back and earned a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I spent 6 years working in Early Childhood Centers and working with children from 6 weeks to 7 years old. The past 15 years I have been an office manager for a small company. It was a really good situation because the owner had 5 children and the office was in his home so I would get to spend time with the children when they were young. About 7 years ago I became a swim coach at a local competitive swim team coaching athletes from the ages of 5 -13 years old. I am current on my First Aid & CPR Certifications.
