About Hannah

Hi! I'm a 22-year-old college student at UMass on the premed track. I eventually hope to work in neuroscience and specialize in dementia care and related neurodegenerative diseases. My paid experience with the elderly is limited, but I have extensive experience as one of the caregivers for my father, who has frontotemporal dementia, for a few years before he transitioned to a memory care facility. I have experience with dressing, transportation, light meal preparation, and other needs typical to dementia care. I also have paid experience working with children with special needs, behavioral issues, and a variety of different backgrounds/home circumstances. My favorite part of working with the elderly is providing them company and companionship. I love to listen to their stories and anecdotes, no matter how much they like to retell them! Some of my own hobbies include sewing, crocheting, and doing the NYT crossword puzzle every day. I can't wait to connect with you and your loved one!
