Hi my name is Haylie, I have 2 years of experience working with seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's. I did online classes for it while I was working in a nursing home as a dietary aide. Being a dietary aide definitely comes with a lot more than just food. Some other skills I learned while at the nursing home is how to calm them down. This is a really great skill I learned since it can be very hard to understand how they are feeling and what they might want. Another trait I gained was teamwork, you definitely need this to help someone in the state some of these seniors were. I am 16 years old and currently work at a pottery shop! I am CPR certified and a mandatory reporter!
