About Heather

Having grown up on a 100-acre horse farm I started caring for our domestic pets and large livestock at age 5. I began as a 4-H member, Youth Morgan Horse Club member and later qualified for the Grand Nationals in Oklahoma as stock seat equestrienne. Fast forward to year 2008 when (low and behold) I actually became a mom to a beautiful white miniature Golden Doodle named Shelby. A few years later I found her a toy brother, from the same Alabama breeder, and named him "Lucky". To this day, at age 8, he's still my Lucky Charm. On a cold winter night, back when dogs had dog houses (like Snoopy) and I was just a kid, I asked my dad if my black lab "Rocky" could sleep inside for the night. My dad's expression looked as if he needed a reason- so I provided him with one: "He's a person too!" I think that sums up how I feel about my pets and others' pets. They are important members of the family and I will always make certain that they are well cared for and loved while you are away.
