About Heidi

Hi! I have been a licensed intervention specialist for the past 7 years and was a title 1 math tutor for one year. I have my Masters in Special Education. I have experience in helping students in the areas of reading, writing, and math. I have training in a multi sensory approach to reading and helping students improve their decoding skills to become better readers. I have worked with students in grades K-8. I enjoy making learning fun and engaging for students, and including the interests of students in their learning. I love celebrating student success and making them feel important during their learning! I love helping students to feel more confident in their skills. I love the "light bulb" moments, which is when a skill really clicks for a student and you can see the confidence shine through them. My skills include tailoring instruction to meet learners' needs, making lessons engaging, and celebrating student success.
