About Iris

Hi, my name is Iris. (I now live in Burtonsville, not Hanover) I'd describe my personality as friendly, caring and sweet. I like working with kids because they are present, expressive and creative. I'm looking for a job that has good communication, a regular schedule, and a positive environment for everyone. I started working with kids when I started college back in 2015. I spent 5 years working with kids in a variety of jobs- from childcare teacher, to kindergarten teacher intern, etc. In my spare time, I like to garden, cook, teach yoga, read, and paddle board. One thing you should know about me is I'm a flexible person who enjoys building connections with others. I love working for families who will work with me to create a good foundation of trust, good communication and honesty. My skills includes using creativity to come up with activities, I am very nurturing and try to sense what a child needs, and I am punctual about routines.
