About Jacqueline

I'd describe my personality as caring, dedicated, and calm. I like tutoring because working one on one and watching those moments where it clicks for the learner brings me great joy and satisfaction. I love to be creative and get to know what works for each individual student I started tutoring when I began working in child care settings many years ago. Most of the young people I worked with were having difficulty in school and needed support with homework, reports, etc. I also attended several IEP meetings. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my kids and dog. We like to walk by the water, take drives, watch movies, and cook together. One thing you should know about me is I'm very dedicated and creative and have the belief that all students can learn. It's on the teacher to figure out how they learn best. My skills include reading intervention; specifically, phonemic awareness, phonics, phonics and fluency. I can help with building math skills as well. K-5
