About Jade

Thank you for viewing my profile! I have plenty of experience caring for children through family and friends. Coming from a big Filipino family, I am constantly around children and have always cared for them. I have 2 nieces; four and two, and I help my brother care for them. I am also a godmother to 2 twin babies who are 16 months. My approach to child care-taking is giving kids as much autonomy as possible to learn and play how they want. I speak to them with genuine interest and curiosity without judgment or condescension. I hope to help facilitate and stimulate their learning and interests. I know when it's appropriate to be stern with children, without punitive punishment. On top of childcare, I am also a postpartum doula. I help families transition to a new baby in the household while carrying the birthing person through their recovery in the fourth trimester.
