About Jan

My husband and I recently moved to the area after living for 31 years in Southeast Texas. I am a reliable, friendly, and patient mother and grandmother who loves helping children of all ages achieve to their greatest potential. I have 10+ years teaching in the public school classroom as well as tutoring one-on-one. I am degreed in Interdisciplinary Studies with specialization in English Grades 1-8. My classroom experience includes grades 1, 4, 7, and 8 along with substituting in all grades pre-K-8. I have tutored a wide range of students K-12 in English and writing. While I loved teaching in the classroom, I especially enjoy the relationships that are built when tutoring one-on-one. My hearts desire is to help students from the struggling learner to those simply needing assistance with writing and editing. It would be my pleasure to be of service to families in the area!
