About Jennifer

Hi! My name is Jennifer! I have spent the last four years working as a secondary English teacher (2 years in middle school, 2 years in high school) and am working on transitioning to a full time career in childcare. I began babysitting professionally when I was 14 and continued to take on babysitting/short term nanny jobs to support myself throughout college. Immediately after I graduated with my Bachelor's in 2020, I began working as a 7th grade english teacher and received my preliminary single subject teaching credential in English Language Arts in 2021. In my post graduate courses, I focused on Literacy Studies and developed a deep understanding of phonics based, structured literacy approaches to teaching language. Teaching was an amazing experience and I'm so excited to take what I have learned and use it to support the developmental milestones of any child I work with in the future.
