About Jennifer

I have cared for children from four different families. I have experience caring for newborns, children with special needs, and children with behavioral problems. I have cared for up to four children at a time, ranging from newborns to preteens. In addition to this, in December of 2018 I will obtain my degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have tutored K-2 students at Irvington Community Elementary school in math and reading. I also completed my first semester of student-teaching in a Kindergarten class at this same location. I am also currently in my last few weeks of student-teaching at Mcclelland Elementary school in a Student Support Center. I mainly work with students with special needs and behavioral/emotional disorders. Throughout my time in college, I have accumulated many hours of experience working with children individually, in small groups, and as an entire class. In addition to this, I also volunteer at Down Syndrome Indiana as part of the Learning Program.
