I have worked with children ages 1 month - 13 years for more than 15 years now. It has been a joy and a privilege. I am currently a preschool teacher at a local school. While I love my work, it isn't paying quite enough to cover the bills. I would love to keep teaching, as I genuinely care for and enjoy working with children. A few evenings a week would help me to continue doing what I love. I believe children learn through play and practice. I try to develop a solid foundation in empathy, persistence, and curiosity with children I care for, building on their natural interests to enable them to learn about the people and world around them. I have my Director's Certification in Early Childhood, and am First Aid, CPR and AED qualified. I have taken all of the available classes in Early Childhood Education, and taught a few on guidance strategies, discipline techniques and modeling behavior myself. She arrived on time, brought toys for my toddler, and immediately engaged with both children, giving them special attention and care. I was thrilled to see my home spotless, with the stove cleaned, dishes done, and the girls' rooms tidied up.
