About Maiya

Hello! My name is Maiya and I am 22 years old. I grew up in New Hampshire, but recently made the move to the Gainesville area and I love it so far! I have 5 years of childcare experience, and have been working with children for as long as I can remember. Before moving, I worked for NH Child and Family Services as a childcare coordinator. During that time I was also employed by the YWCA as a childcare provider for their youth programs. I taught as an assistant preschool teacher for a private early childhood facility for about 3 years as well, and really enjoyed my time spent there. Since moving to Florida, I have been a full time nanny for the past 2 years. I have cared for infants as young as 3 months, toddler age children, and school age/pre teens as well. I genuinely enjoy my time spent with children of all ages and I believe it is so important for them to grow with love, positivity, and encouragement.
