About Joan

I am a newly retired special education teacher's aide and paraprofessional. My most recent position was with the Wellesley High School Special Education Department, where I was employed for 5 years. Previously, I worked with elementary special needs students at Carlisle Public Schools for 12 years. I have worked with students having a variety of needs, including physical and emotional as well as academic. I so enjoyed working with my students. Every day was different and I constantly learned from this very special and unique group of children and young adults. I have raised 4 of my own children, the youngest of whom graduated from college in 2019. I also have 5 precious grandchildren, two of whom were born this year amidst the pandemic crisis. I am interested in continuing my work with students on a part time basis. I am able to provide services 2-3 consecutive weekdays and can be flexible about what the days are as long as they are consecutive.
