About Joy

It is my greatest joy seeing children grow in their sense of confidence from their success. I have a plethora of experience tutoring at non- profits, daycare aid, nannying, and working at Challenger school in curriculum. CPR certified Bachelors degree Trained in Prek-8 curriculum My closest people in a personal and professional circle say I am: organized, encouraging, and a work horse. I enjoy seeing the spark in students eyes as they are empowered in their growing intelligence. It's one thing to memorize content, but it is another to actually understand and know what is taught. I'm looking for a job that is consistent. I started tutoring in high school for students at Peninsula Bridge and post college at Challenger. I love cuddling my newborn, reading the Bible, serving my church, and weekly date nights. I teach conceptually since it helps promote critical thinking skills. My skills include: organized, prepared, teaching conceptually.
