I started my experience with child care when I was around 12, as a "mothers helper", where I took care of two kids (ages around 2 and 5) while their family worked on their farm. As I got older I spent a lot of time babysitting for several different families. I have experience with kids between 2-9. I volunteered as a dance instructor for multiple classes of kids between 4-10. For two of those years I did a lot of work with one student in particular who was on the spectrum and had behavioral issues. I found it particularly rewarding to work with him because I saw how much it meant to him to have someone he could trust to understand him and support him while he was struggling.
