About Kaitlyn

Hello! I'm currently majoring in Forensic Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University, but I have a strong passion for childcare with over 4 years of hands-on experience. I'm CPR and first aid certified and during high school, I worked towards my CDA. My journey in childcare began in a preschool setting, working with children ages 3-5, where I created engaging lesson plans and activities, from arts and crafts to science projects. In my sophomore year, I volunteered at another preschool, gaining valuable experience with infants and toddlers. Additionally, in the summer of 2022, I served as a camp counselor for children ages 5-13. This role allowed me to understand the diverse ways children think and how to support their emotional needs, likes, and dislikes.
