Hi- My name is Kara. I recently changed careers after 28 years in Criminal Justice and became a Nanny for women who are like daughters to me. I fell in love. Engaging with infants is my favorite, although I've worked with all ages. I love to make our time together joyful both mentally and physically. I like to laugh and be silly as appropriate. I've sleep trained and am familiar with several philosophies. I am considered kind, compassionate, hardworking, timely, easy to talk to, and loving by people who know me. I am adaptable, dependable, and organized. I actually enjoy housework and keeping things stocked and flowing. I enjoy exploring nature, but also library time and cuddling up for a movie and homemade popcorn. I swim and used to teach. I like open dialogue and feeling like I'm part of the team. Raising a child to me is one of the most important roles we have as parents, and a community. I have a Bachelor Degree and a lot of training and experience with varying age groups.

Kara helped us out last minute babysitting our 2 year old son. Our son took to her right away and it’s obvious she really enjoys caring for kids. Communication was great and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone and hope to have her back in the future! She also brought us fresh vegetables from her garden - so kind and thoughtful.
