About Karianne

Hi! My name is Karianne. For the last four years, I have served as a non-profit camp director. We work specifically with children impacted by domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. Our campers range from age 7 to age 17. In my role, I write children's curriculum, teach and lead silly songs, and help kids navigate through personal difficulties. Because of the high needs population that I work with, I feel extremely comfortable and competent to mediate sibling conflict, talk through difficult emotions like anger and sadness, and also to help kids be kids. When I am working with kids (whether as a babysitter or a camp director), I believe in empowering them. At camp we focus a lot on what it looks like to believe in yourself and in others. I want to do that as a nanny/babysitter as well. I want every person that I interact with (regardless of age) to feel more loved and seen. I hope that you'll consider me to hang out with your kiddos!
