Hi I started caring for my grandmother about 20 years ago. She is now 100 and still thriving. She plays the piano every night! I've helped with bathing, grooming, dressing, errands, shopping, dementia/alzheimers care, etc. All sorts of things. Basically whatever she needs or wants I'm happy to assist her. I also cared for my best friend who is a paraplegic. I learned a lot about the ventilator and even did his suctioning and some maintenance. I did bed baths, cleanups, bed transfers, rotations, grooming and lots of other things to assist him since he can not. Emotional support is important as well for everyone. My skills include bathing, grooming, housekeeping, cooking, errands, shopping and providing good directions and peaceful environment. I have a pretty good way of being able to navigate dementia/alzheimers in a healthy way

Katie M has been involved in caring for her grandmother for the past 6 years, spanning two different living situations: First, she shared their living space in a house, and then as a part-time caregiver when she moved into her own home. She has a tender heart and immense amount of patience and compassion, and often places her grandmother's needs, schedules and preferences over her own. I highly recommend her for any caregiving job.
