About Kayla

I have a bachelors degree in counseling so I have found that I'm very skilled in talking to kids and understanding their needs. Kids need empathy and understanding and having an educational background like mine really helps me to fill those needs. I also have experience working professionally with children through Turning Point family centers. Another skill that has proved to be beneficial when working with kids is the ability to provide consistency and structure. The third skill that I've found to be helpful when working with kids is the ability to have fun with them doing the things they enjoy. Depending on the age, kids have so many different interests and being able to listen and understand as well as meet them where they are has been very helpful in my experience with building relationships with kids.
