Hello! I am a certified teacher with a Masters degree and 10 years teaching experience in K-2 and 4 years experience of working at the Boys and Girls Club. I also have 2 years of experience caring for my own daughter. I have won 2 awards for "Care and Excellence" and one award as a "Rising Star" as a teacher. Activities I love to do with kids are reading (I have bazillion picture books), art (I co-led the arts department at the Boys and Girls club), STEM activities (I created and ran an Early Engineering extracurricular activity), dramatic play, going outside, loose parts play, singing and dancing, playing sports, and sensory tables. Pedagogies I am passionate about and am inspired by are the Montessori method and the Science of Reading. I also am a big believer in open ended free play. I have a 3-year-old daughter who is kind and a good listener who would come with me. She would love to make new friends. I would care for all children equally and as if they are my own.
