About Kelsey

I have over 10 years of experience in youth development and have spent the last seven years as an elementary math teacher in Chicago Public Schools. I recently moved to the Boston area to be closer to family and am looking for a flexible work option doing what I love. Outside of teaching, I have been an aide for students with diverse needs, a math interventionist, a youth mentor, a social emotional learning trainer and coach, an event coordinator, a teacher mentor, a camp Director and a "professional play expert" trained in utilizing play and curiosity to enhance learning and development. I have strong experience accommodating and modifying assignments, curriculum and behavior plans to best support students. I believe that all kids are capable of success given the right tools, support and structure. I look forward to hearing from you!
