Hello! I am a reliable, energetic, and creative recent graduate with approximately 8 years experience caring for children, from infants to teenagers. I spent the last 9 months caring full time for two lovely girls, ages 2 and 6, and am looking to transition to something more part-time. My love for music and storytelling informs my playful and imaginative approach to childcare. I'm also passionate about education! In the last 4 years of college, I taught French and math to school children in Senegal, served as a mentor as part of an after-school program empowering middle school girls, and taught a creative writing workshop. I love coming up with learning games to play with children throughout the day, and I can even help out if your child is interested in singing or learning guitar! I was lucky enough to hire Kiera as a new mother of one child, for the (VERY) occasional night out. The first time she babysat, I came home to a sleeping baby and a clean home and I admit I cried a little. The second time, my infant son reached for her gleefully. Three kids later, I don't want to let Kiera go! She has nannied for me summers and vacations during her college years and she is ALL of our favorite sitter. Kiera is smart, active and her enthusiasm for life carries over to my kids. It has been a privilege to watch her blossom from a sweet teenager to an amazingly accomplished young woman. She is cultured and artistic. She makes up songs and plays the guitar for the kids. She gets messy with art projects. Working from home as a writer, the sound of her laughing right along with my kids has eased any worry I had about not being "there" for them. Kiera is a member of our family, and we adore her. I will miss her. Any family for whom Kiera works will be extremely lucky.
