About Kimberly

Hi! My name is Kim. I have been an elementary school teacher for 8 years. I have taught 3rd grade for 2 years, Elementary Spanish (K-5) for 4 years and 4th grade for 2 years. I specialize in math and literacy tutoring. I am familiar with the most current research on how kids read. I can support struggling elementary students in learning to decode words and comprehend texts at any elementary grade level. In math, I am deeply familiar with the conceptual gaps that students often have when it comes to understanding increasingly difficult math problems. In a tutoring session, I can not only help kids master the content for their grade level but work to support them in filling in gaps from previous grade level content. I am available from August to December as I will be traveling for the remainder of the school year (hence why I am not currently teaching at a school).
