About Kristen

I derive joy from contributing to children's growth, curiosity, and unique personalities. Seeking a role valuing strong communication, I aim for effective collaboration with parents, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. In 2021, I began my journey working with children as an instructional aide in a classroom. Since then, I've actively worked with over 100 children, aged 3-17, taking on diverse roles like developmental behavioral therapist and speech-language pathologist assistant. I am studying Speech-Langauge Pathology in hopes of being an SLP. After graduation, I plan to continue working with the pediatric population either in schools or private practice. My skills include: 1) Communication: effectively communicating with both children and parents, 2) Patience: handling challenging behaviors with calmness, and 3) Emotional Regulation: supporting and validating children's emotional needs and providing a nurturing atmosphere.
