However, I grew up helping my parents raise my siblings and ran a babysitting "business" in my teens. Most of that time was spent in a daycare setting. This gave me experience working with children from 6 weeks-12 years old. I left the daycare scene due to increasing, and unreasonable, expectations and extremely low compensation. I took a break and swore off childcare, since daycare had been my only experience it colored my outlook on everything else. Then I started to work for my first family, twin infants (boys) and amazing parents. For the first time in my childcare career, I felt appreciated. I knew then that being a nanny was what I was meant to do! The more personal and individualized experience has been amazing. Being able to actively and efficiently work with parents directly is a wonderful experience!

As a single mom working 12 hour shifts with overtime, she literally became a member of our little family. She was never late for her shifts and performed all tasks as assigned. I came to trust her implicitly. She was incredible with my toddler and animals. She incorporated early education goals seamlessly with her play and care and my child sometimes preferred her company to mine! We had to move, and we are devastated that we could not take her with us!
