Hi! I'm Laura and I live in Riverhead. I work full time as a high school animal science teacher, a single mom of 3 "almost grown" kids and am looking to make some extra money to help them with college. I am experienced in working with seniors and also those with dementia/Alzheimer's. I have worked with family members of my own as well as worked for a home health aide company for years and seniors were my favorite. I love to play games with them and often bring puzzles to keep their minds active. I also love to do arts and crafts with them, take them for walks if possible and watch a good old movie. I am a 28 yr member of my local ambulance corps and so I'm CPR/first aide certified/experienced with meds. Being a teacher I am NYS fingerprinted. I'm a great cook and can do light tidying up. I am also great with any pets that are around. I'm available most weekends and after school hours. I'd love to meet the special senior in your life! Thanks for reading and take care of you.
