About Laura

I'm a retired Special Needs teacher. I decided to go into Special Education because my father had a stroke and I managed, along with others in our family, my father's care giving. I re taught him to speak and he eventually ended up saying 3-5 word sentences. He was not an easy patient because he was very demanding. However, we were faced with putting him in a living facility, so I moved back home with my 2 very small children and we took care of him. I'm an avid reader and believe that we all should read. I love to have discussions and I did that with my dad. I believe in following a routine I am very intelligent and can take your love one to the doctor and interpret whatever needs to be interpreted back to you. Cleaning isn't an issue. I believe a person feels better when what they want done is done. I love to cook and love to cook healthy meals and snacks. I don't want to just be a sitter. I want to be there like you would.
