About Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren. I tutor students in English and Math at the elementary and middle school levels. I take a personalized learning approach, which means that I take the time to get to know the student, their learning styles, and their educational needs. I work to support each student to the best of my ability. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, creative, and unique. I like tutoring because I love to learn about student interests and what motivates them. I help transition a student from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. I'm looking for a job offers the opportunity to work with students who are willing and ready to learn. I started tutoring at the Augusta University Literacy Center. In my spare time, I like to play guitar, sing, write, and read, and I enjoy spending time with loved ones. One thing you should know about me is that I am not one to give up. I am one to persevere, and I'm always up for a challenge! My skills include reading, writing, and math.
