About Lauren

I'm looking for a job where I really click with a family. Ideally, I'd love the opportunity to learn and grow with y'all. I started working with kids back when I was just a kid, too! 11 years later, I've been fortunate enough to see the field from nearly every possible angle- I've spent time in non-profit settings, academic settings, college and career spaces, and as an educator, working with nearly every age and need-level. I've always said that for every child that (I hope) learns from me, I've learned infinitely more from them. My coursework and prior experience has prepared me to be, essentially, a professional need-meeter (if that's a thing!). Working as a special educator in a high-need environment means that nothing ever really goes as planned, and adaptability/flexibility are what makes all of the difference. This shows up in caregiving as going with the flow and adjusting to the needs of your family as they change - even if they change daily. :)
