About Laurie

I have several years of experience working with and caring for the elderly. I am a Geriatric advocate, a Certified Dementia Care Specialist and have volunteered at the FAU Memory & Wellness center, working with various Dementia patients. Provided Alzheimer's care for the last 3 years on a seasonal schedule for a local family. Working closely with family and medical personnel, I know the importance of individual needs and working together as a team to provide the best possible care for your loved one. Remembering even though the body or mind may not cooperate, this is still a human being, who deserves, respect, love and understanding. Needing to laugh, be engaged and participate as much as possible, while remaining safe and secure. Unfortunately I myself am having minor foot surgery on the 25th of January and will be temporarily unavailable thru February 15th. I look forward to providing my services after this date.
