About Lauryn

I am aspiring student working towards a career in the medical field. I grew up taking care of people during their adult years going into their elderly years. This in turn led to my passion in taking care of people in need. I have spent a great deal of my time volunteering in a senior citizen home. During my time there, I was in charge of pampering to the citizen's hygienic nail demands. I cut and filed their nails and put on a color of their choice. Furthering, I visited different citizens each day and offered to read stories to them and color with them in coloring books. It brought me true joy to see them happy with me spending time with them and just to have that feeling of having someone to talk to. Also, during my time there, I spent some time working with patients with dementia, and Alzheimer's. I enjoyed my time with these patients a significant amount because they were very joyful.
