About Leah

Hi! My childcare experience began in high school when I chose the education track towards becoming a teacher. I nannied in high school and college, with families varying in ages and special needs. I studied Early Childhood Ed. and Psychology at Purdue, and have spent the past two years working as a counselor and parenting skills educator in my community. This summer, my husband and I welcomed our first child into our family! I currently stay home with our child and I am looking to open our home to childcare. This opportunity would allow for positive socialization, individualized care, and nature-based learning at our 10+ acre home. Becoming a mother has been my greatest joy. I love reading, hiking, cooking, and being in nature. In addition, I studied American Sign Language for 3 years and I am also a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (car seat technician). I hope to share my skills and experience with a kind, trustworthy family!
