Negotiated a list of tasks with Lianne (cleaning/organizing, a few errands, dinner prep, a bit of tutoring for our young kids, basically just household help) and agreed on a rate that was higher than what she advertised on Care. We also agreed on a specific day/time to meet up and confirmed it a couple of times. Two hours before arrival, Lianne cancelled on us, saying that she needed to increase her rate by 40% because we lived too far away (our zip code is visible in our profile) and the task list required higher pay (task list was previously agreed upon and did not change). Very frustrating as we had arranged time to meet with her, prepared a list of tasks to complete, and put off doing things we'd have otherwise done ourselves. Maybe Lianne is great, we'll never really know, but based on our interaction, I would think twice before making plans that rely on her.
