About Lindsay

Hi all! My name is Lindsay but I go by LJ. This may sound a bit cliche but I truly do love children and I always have. From ages 10-12, I volunteered at preschools and worked as a mother's helper. I then started babysitting on my own at 13. During my freshman year in high school, I frequently assisted one of the teachers in the lower school with her kindergarten class. I have also worked as an aid and a co-teacher for kids with special needs at a summer day camp and a summer school program, and as a youth counselor at a community center. Most recently I worked as a nursery/pre-K teacher for 3 years. I have worked with children ranging in age from birth to 17. Most of my hobbies revolve around foreign languages and the arts, specifically music and photography. I have a working knowledge of Spanish as well as some French, Italian, and Portuguese, and I play percussion, drums, guitar, and bass guitar. As far as outdoor activities go, swimming and rollerblading are among my favorites.
