About Lisa

My experience working with children began in 1993, when I left my work in the clothing design industry and opened a licensed family daycare in my home. During those 10 happy years I enjoyed caring for children ages newborn through 12 years. In 2001 I earned a master of education degree in elementary education. I began teaching at an independent school with mixed age classes. During the nine years at a School, I taught preschool through third grade. During the summer, the daycare transformed to summer camp. Like my daycare, it engaged students through experiential learning, and the joys of community. I taught there for nine years. For another nine years I changed careers again, returning to pattern design, manufacturing, and bridal alterations. Most recently I have relocated to Maine and worked towards recertification in education. I am a licensed teacher in Massachusetts in grades 1-6 and in Maine for grades K-9.
