Hi! I'm recently retired and love kids. I've worked with kids of all ages, including as a literacy coach with K-3 in public schools. Friends refer to me as a "baby whisperer" because I'm so good at calming fussy little ones. Since I started nannying I've cared for kids from 2-months to 4-years old. I have 3 families that I worked with for more than one year. I'm very loving, attentive, patient and flexible. The preschoolers say that I'm a bit silly. I like to sing/dance/play finger games/come up with new ways to incorporate physical and language development into play. I try to get outside with kids as much as possible and enjoy walks/trips to the park while talking about the neighborhood, nature and whatever else interests them. I'm a college grad, First Aid/CPR certified and COVID vaccinated & boosted. I'm happy to help with light housework, such as dishes, laundry and sweeping. My car is reliable. References available.

Lisa joined our family when our daughter was four months old and I was just returning to work, and has been with us ever since (our daughter is now 20 months). Lisa is a baby whisperer: she was incredible with our daughter as an infant, always narrating their activities throughout the day, singing songs, and going on outside adventures, and our daughter took to her very quickly. Lisa seamlessly transitioned to the toddler phase we joke that Lisa is our daughter's best friend (she lights up when we tell her it's a "Lisa Day", and outside of my husband and I, there is nobody our daughter would rather see). Lisa is really good at providing structure but also going with the flow, and most importantly for us, following our daughter's cues. Lisa is also extremely creative, patient, and resourceful, and is not shy about asking questions, and will often share reports about the day over text if she forgot to mention something before she leaves. My husband and I both work full time, so having someone as communicative, thoughtful, and flexible as Lisa has been an absolute gift. I truly cannot recommend Lisa enough, and will always be grateful for her kindness, humor, and the loving attention she's shown all of us as we started our journey as new parents. If you have the opportunity to work with Lisa, consider yourself extremely lucky!
