I like being around my elders because of their wisdom. They usually have kind souls and a good sense of humor. I feel they need our help since they have spent their lives fighting to help us. I would go into my grandmothers nursing home to hang out with them all and help out as much as I could, but sometimes they would just need someone to listen to their stories. I also worked as a caregiver for Bethany Village for a couple of months. I may not have much experience, but I am a patient, caring person who would love to help out more with our seniors. Included in my experience: Cooking, cleaning, laundry, bathing, using the bathroom, walking, exercising, getting in and out of bed, appointment driver, grocery shopping, companionship.
