About Madelyn

Ever since first taking the RedCross babysitting class in middle school, I have been passionate about childcare and related fields. Though I have been babysitting since, the bulk of my experience has occurred in the past five years, including babysitting up to seven kids under age five, teaching science lessons for field trips at the Poudre Learning Center, leading small groups in multiple children's ministries, and providing one on one care for children with developmental disabilities as a service and respite care provider. Additionally, I am currently completing a degree in music therapy, and much of my preclinical work has been working with neurodivergent children in the school setting. I am a big believer of inquiry-based learning and helping to empower children to research answers for their questions. I am also a big believer in the arts as a tool for social and emotional learning. I hope to work with a family that shares similar values!
