About Makari

I'd describe my personality as ambitious, adventurous, and joyful. I started working with kids six years ago when I started working at Wings Like Eagles. Wings Like Eagles is a horse vaulting camp that in short teaches children ages 6-12 how to do gymnastics on horses. The main goal of the camp is for counselors (like me) to help kids gain confidence through vaulting. Ever since my first year at camp I knew that working with kids was my passion. I have since done six years at Wings Like Eagles. In my spare time, I like to spend time outside! Whether that's hiking, skiing, kayaking/paddle boarding, camping, etc. it's my favorite thing to do! And bonus points if get to do that while spending time with family and friends which is another one of my favorite things to do in my spare time! My top 3 skills would be that I am flexible, dependable, and have a positive attitude! These three skills I believe are some of the most important skills to have when caring for children.
