Hi I am Makenna! I have always worked in childcare and I absolutely love it. Some personal things about me is that I love to hike and go camping! I am a very active person and I love to be outside. I started working with kids when I was 8 years old. At my family's church I would assist my mom with childcare, which I did for about five years. From then, I would babysit as well as working as a summer camp counselor, a coach, and a referee for children ranging from 1-13 years old. My skills include having high energy, patience, and being excellent at communication. I think simple communication with a child can de-escalate any conflict and help them manage big emotions that might be causing a meltdown.
