About Mara

Hello! I have been working as a teacher for four years and have experience with children from 2-14 years old. I have extensive experience with conflict resolution, behavior redirection and positive discipline. Understanding what children need developmentally in order to thrive has set me on a personal mission to provide compassion, warmth and nurturance in my work. I have experience implementing boundaries and consequences with firmness and kindness. Children need a predictable environment in order to feel safe, and that is something I have worked hard to achieve with my students during the school year. A few facts about me: I grew up with 5 siblings and am happily a middle child! I have a bachelors degree in clinical psychology and am enrolled to begin graduate studies for my Marriage and Family Therapy Master's degree next Spring. When I am not at work, I love spending my time hiking, going on picnics, taking road trips, rock climbing, and exploring new places with my friends.
