About Marcus

I am a graduate of Stanford University where I majored in East Asian Studies. I come from a single-parent household, I am the first in my family to earn a college degree, and I speak Spanish and Mandarin. I love setting an example to my students because it is my belief that anyone can be anything they want to be regardless of where they come from. In terms of Private Educator experience, I have 2+ years of experience working with multiple families with children ranging from elementary school to high school across various public, private, and charter schools throughout Los Angeles. Special interests: scholarship essays; math (algebra, geometry, pre-calculus); Spanish/Mandarin; general high school subjects. Accolades: Valedictorian in high school; 5s (highest score) on AP English Language, English Literature, and Calculus AB tests; full ride at Stanford funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
