About Maren

Prior to graduating from an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree program I worked as an Optometric Vision Therapist for about 4 years. Most of the vision therapy clients were school aged. I love working with kids but have experience working with people of all ages: typically developing children, developmentally delayed children, special needs children + adults, plus adults within the skilled nursing facility setting. Because I've worked with people covering such wide chronological age + developmental age ranges or medical needs I'm able to adapt to varying family dynamics/routines/caregiver needs. My experience in the healthcare industry has been invaluable, though I prefer to work with families directly. Over the last few years I've been working as a nanny and special needs caregiver. I help coordinate developmentally appropriate fine+ gross motor activities, sensory play activities, outings, sports/music practice, homework, assist with self-care, light housework, or pet care.
