About Maria

I am a mother of three adult children. I was a live in nanny for 3 years before I had my children. I stayed at home with them up until my youngest was in the second grade, at which point I went back to school to get a Phlebotomy and Diagnostic Technician degree. I worked in medical settings for the next 15 years. Presently I am bartending on the weekends but would like to go back to my roots of caring for children. I love to read, draw, hike, refurbish furniture and practice yoga (I am a certified yoga instructor). I've been told that I have a calming presence, and people tend to trust me with their thoughts and feelings. I believe that all children should be treated with respect and kindness. I try to recognize the potential in every child and nurture their passions. I am a very organized person and a hard worker.
