Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Let me begin my telling you a little bit about myself. I am married and live in Vestal NY. I have raised two children of my own, and have taken care of several throughout the years! For many years I have worked in a care-giving field whether it be with children or elderly adults. At the present time I am looking to find a part time position; preferably 3 days a week, but will consider negotiating a fourth day. I recently lost my nannying position with a family that I worked with for the past 2 1/2 years due to a relocation with the military. This particular family had TWIN BOYS who I began watching at the age of 6 weeks! I not only bring to the table many years of experience with several children in a family, but also have 2 1/2 years of experience with MULTIPLES! This was a whole new experience for me, but a wonderful one at that. I absolutely LOVE children, and believe in a nurturing environment. I am an extremely responsible person with very high work ethics especially when it come to care-giving. A typical day with small children consists of meals & diapers (a given).......... then FUN, FUN and more FUN! I spend a lot of time reading books to children, teaching them new games, singing lots of songs, and hours of "hands on" playtime. From the littlest tiny infants to the crazy toddlers; I do it all! If you are looking for someone who will love your children, teach them discipline , and care for them with respect........... I am your girl!! If however you are looking for someone to care for your elderly parent........... the same kind of care is given. My specialty is with people suffering with dementia / Alzheimer's, however; I have also worked with people suffering from MS, lupus, Lou Gehrig's disease / ALS, and mentally retarded adults. My work ethics do not change, whether it is with an older person , or small children. I will always give the utmost respect to your loved one. I am a certified recreation therapist who has worked in several of the local facilities as an Activities Director, as well as with the county as a Site Supervisor for an Adult Daycare program through Office for the Aging.
