I thrive helping people with their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. My experience spans providing long-term, in-home, overnight hospice care; dementia care; tutoring; family and individual. For 1. 5 years, I regularly cared for a beautiful 96-year-old with multiple physical and cognitive issues. I cooked for her, helped her with mobility, attended to her psychological and spiritual needs regarding end of life. I met her were she was each moment. I used my knowledge of how the body works with my physical strength to lift her, help her walk and transfer. I cared for her wounds and medical needs. I am available for overnights, weekends, evenings and some weekday daytime.

Mariann took care of my loved one the last year of her life. She started with grace and enthusiasm and precious reliability!! Mariann engaged with my aunt on so many levels. She really cared that my aunt was physically and emotionally content. She would sit with Nikki pouring over her old photo albums, or playing music or her era for her enjoyment. Mariann is energetic and smart. Capable of preparing meals or snacks. Mariann became very versed in wound care, as my bedridden aunt had one started prior to her employment, and Mariann collaborated with the hospice nurses and staff to ensure quality of life and dignity. When the additional need for spiritual support was noted by Mariann she took initiative to request the Hospice Chaplain be included in care. It is hard to encompass all that Mariann brought to my aunt’s life, but, I would hire her again if needs arose, in a heartbeat!! Dr. Janet W
